Frequently Asked Questions
How does threading work?
A cotton thread is rolled along the area of unwanted hair, gripping the hair and twisting it along the
thread to trap it and lift it out of the follicle.
How long does threading last?
How long is a piece of string? I would recommend a treatment every 2 - 4 weeks depending on how quickly
your hair grows, everybody is totally different. Temporary results can turn into permanent results with
regular maintenance. Over time, the hair follicle will become damaged due to the threading and hair will cease growing or slow down completely.
Will it be effective for me?
Anybody with facial hair, whether it be unruly eyebrows or hair on your upper lip, threading will work
for you. It is a precise method of hair removal creating even brows and catches even the shortest and
fairest of hairs.
What areas can be threaded?
Threading is recommended for small areas of hair on the face:
Eyebrows, Upper lip, Chin, Neck, Sides, Forehead
Do I need a patch test?
No, threading does not use any chemicals on the skin meaning that anybody can have a threading treatment.
I use Witch Hazel Solution and Rose Water Solution following treatment to soothe the area that has been
threaded. We can determine during your consultation whether you have any allergies and what would be best
to use at the end of your treatment.
